Thinking Outside the “Big” Box

Now that Black Friday (or is it Black Thursday these days?) is over, Its officially, Small Business Saturday, which has gone viral- encouraging consumers to Shop Small, with the hopes of boosting the economy by supporting our local small businesses and ultimately, keeping our hard-earned dollars in America.

I’m taking the Made in America Challenge!! I know I’m going to look like that ONE FaceBook Friend who writes out the itinerary of their day, EVERY DAY… but just doing my part to support!! So here goes:

I’m going to start the morning off with some Butlers Coffee, which I think is waaay better than Starbucks anyway! I want to stop by Adleman Broadcasting’s Largest Garage Sale in the Antelope Valley to do a little Christmas shopping for handmade gifts from local vendors.

For lunch, I may go to the Lancaster The Greenhouse Cafe (only because I’d like to avoid the mall traffic) or if I’m feeling breakfast for lunch, I’ll probably go to one of the Scramblez Cafe’s

After I get my grub on, I’m going to pick up some fabric scraps from Bolts in the Bathtub for a little project I am working on. Then I’ll stop by the Face and Body Place for a couple of gift certificates for a Christmas party.

I love how Alex Eaves sums it up here:

Wont you join me and pledge to buy American this Christmas Season?
