Whew! I’ve been a busy girl lately! I feel so blessed to have received tons of orders for my Family Name Established Signs. I’d like to think its the upcoming holiday season that reminds us it is a time to reflect on family togetherness.
Because these signs have taken up much of my time, I haven’t had the chance to work on my long list of DIY projects… But as long as I’m painting, I’m a happy girl
I would love to share with you some of the designs I have created for Family Name Established Signs.
Monogrammed Family Name Sign
One of my favorite signs to paint is this monogram sign.
I love this design, because of the wood tones in the initial. The finishing touch is two to three coats of a hand rubber polycrylic which really brings out the richness of wood grain.
You can see more of my Rustic Wood Monogram signs here.
Stenciled Family Name Sign
This design is painted on distressed wood, with hand stenciling in the background. Then I paint the family name and established date .
Rustic Wedding Sign
By far, one of my most popular designs is this Rustic Wedding Sign.
This sign features whimsical bird silhouettes painted on a cherry blossom branch. The branch is not painted, but stained- allowing the wood grain to show through.
You can specify how many little birdies you would like painted on the branches, to represent your family!
The signs are then sealed with polycrylic for protection and to enhance the beauty of the wood grain branch.
If you are interested in purchasing one of my Family Name Established Signs, or any custom painted wood sign, you can preview some of the made-to-order designs I currently have in my Etsy Shop.
Please note all of my Custom Painted Wood Signs are just that! I do not use stick-on vinyl lettering, everything is 100% painted my me!!
