New Farm and Ranch Signs in the shop

Farm and Ranch Signs

Since it’s almost a new year, I thought I’d introduce a couple of new Farm and Ranch signs I painted over the holidays. These reLoved Signs are available for purchase in my Etsy shop.

Farm and Ranch Signs

I’ve had a few custom requests for Farm and Ranch Signs. The first being a green “What Happens at the Farm, Stays at the Farm” sign, and I loved the design so much… I decided to make a big cousin for it, and create a “What happens at the Ranch Stays at the Ranch” sign.

The “What Happens at the Ranch”… sign is the larger of the two at 15″ x 11″ and I love the combination of the distressed butter cream background with the rust colored text. Flanking each side of the word “ranch” are two horseshoes with a star in the center. Kinda makes me feel double lucky. It also kinda makes me want to say “party on, Garth!” in my best Wayne Campbell voice!!  (…and now I’ll be singing Bohemian Rhapsody the rest of the day. Join me, won’t you??)

Meet the little cousin, the “What Happens at the Farm, Stays at the Farm” sign, and he (or she) measures approximately 15″ x 7″.

I chose a distressed turquoise for the background, and I absolutely love the effect!! It has been glazed and antiqued to perfection, with a chestnut brown paint for the text.

Farm Sign Rooster

On this reLoved Sign,  I went with Rooster Weathervanes for design elements. Which only further reinforces my Barn Obsession (You can read about that here)

The Ranch sign is currently hanging in my kitchen. (It wants to be a Farmhouse Style Kitchen when it grows up) I am in deep-love with this sign, because it also reminds me of how much my little guy loved his “mooster” I mean look at that face!! You just can’t fake a smile like that!

And now that I’m fully in the partying mood, I will just excuse myself to go finish painting more Farm and Ranch Signs!!

I want to thank everyone for your continued support throughout this past year, and I sincerely wish Peace and Prosperity for you and your family over the New Year!

…and be safe!! <3

  1. I’m in love with this turquoise!! Can you please tell me the brand and the name of this color?? (I love your sign as well)

  2. Hi Sherri, this is my first contact with you. I wanted to ask you about the Varathane Crystal Clear water-based polyurethane with Matte finish that you have recommended to some folks. I just talked to Rustoleum and they said the Matte sheen was brand new as of 3-4 months ago. The product code # is 262074 and it comes in quarts and 1/2 pints only.
My question is this-on the Matte can of Varathane that you use, does it say Soft touch right underneath the word Varathane and does it say fingerprint resistant under the words Ultra Durable? If so, I will know that I have the right product in mind.
Also, we have a huge wall unit that we painted with 2 coats of ASCP-Chateau Grey. We are going to put Annie sloan wax and dark wax on as well but I want to put the Varathane poly on first. Since we are putting wax on after the poly, do you think we still need to put 4 coats of poly? or can we do 2 or 3 since we are waxing too?
Thanks for all you do for all of us,
    Dale

    • Hi Dale. Yes, the 262074 is the Crystal Clear formula, and contains all the text you mentioned on the label. Since you are waxing over the poly, it should be no problem to only apply 2-3 coats.
